POSITION SUMMARY
Jireh Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR is looking for an Industrial Engineer to join their team. Room for growth and development within a smaller team to hone your skills.
This person will be responsible for optimizing operations by analyzing fab constraints, driving improvements, and maintaining inventory balance to support customer needs and company profitability.
This position requires coverage of at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). There is the option to work a schedule of four ten-hour days per week, as long as one of the days is a weekend day.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Optimizes operations based on product mix, tool capacity, revenue and profitability.
- Maximizes equipment output by modeling theoretical capacity, including expected availability, utilization, and tool efficiency.
Develops models, databases and spreadsheet to analyze data and establish key business intelligence (BI) / Key performance indicator (KPI).
- Drives WIP position and production line balance based on planning needs, tool availability, and engineering requirements.
- Provides operational cost structure for various tool configurations, product mixes, and technology platforms.
- Coordinates production starts and controls WIP flow.
- Identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements with manufacturing, process and equipment groups.
- Analyzes constraints to optimize Fab utilization and efficiency.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Minimum Bachelor / Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operation Research, Management Science or related field.
- 5+ years of working experience in the semiconductor industry (preferred).
- 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Experience with Workstream is a significant plus.
- Experience with Postgres and VBA is a significant plus.
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient at MS Suite.
- Experience with expediting, MRP/ ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing safety practices.
- Solid analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to support 24-hour operation.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
