Job Description
-Looking for an exciting opportunity to design and develop electronic systems?

Come join De Beers Group Ignite, where you'll have the chance to work on innovative projects in the diamond industry. As an Electronics Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and maintaining electronic systems and related support systems for machines and instruments required to support the company’s requirements from conception to final delivery to customers. In this role, you'll work alongside a dynamic team of Line managers, heads of department, product owners, agile delivery managers, technical leads, senior and principal engineers, service department, and external contacts like customers, consultants, contractors, regulatory bodies, suppliers of equipment and components, and sales representatives.

As our ideal candidate, you will bring your passion for innovation and your expertise in embedded systems hardware and/or software design to the role. You'll develop products from prototype to production, generate documentation, and ensure statutory requirements are met. From a system-level requirements document, you'll write module-level requirements documents and specifications. You have extensive expertise in designing PCB, creating the schematic and embedded software, and debugging designs for system integration. In addition, you have experience with PLC programming, embedded microprocessor design, robotics, Arduino, and stepper/servo motors. As a seasoned professional, you'll advise on components, spares, and new technologies that can be used in future projects.

You must have worked in an Agile delivery environment and have proven experience with hardware development skills like Embedded microprocessor and DSP system design, design for manufacturability and testing, and design to meet regulatory requirements - EMC and safety. Additionally, preferred software development skills with Embedded assembler or C, Python, and C++ or C#.
