Job description
We have an amazing opportunity for an In-Store Visual Merchandiser to join Team OB in our new Glasgow Gordon Street Store.
As an In-Store Visual Merchandiser at OB, you will identify and highlight commercial and VM opportunities in your store whilst coaching the team on how to deliver excellent OB visual standards to maximise sales. In addition, you will support the team with operations to ensure the back-of-house and deliveries are processed effectively.
You’ll have a flair for design and a great understanding of VM in retail, understanding customer shopping habits and how to create a joyful customer experience.
You will report to the Store Manager and will have regular contact with your Area Visual Merchandiser.
Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We are working a 50/50 split of office and home working, and are open to having conversations about working flexibly.

OB’s In Store Visual Merchandiser will:
- Support and follow the strategic plans of the VM team whilst maximising visual impact and identifying creative solutions in your store.
- Create eye catching displays that enhance the customer journey, impact sales positively whilst using VM guidelines and directive packs.
- Plan, communicate & execute any visual changes or activities including window displays & mannequin styling.
- Work collaboratively with the store management team to drive KPIs to improve overall store performance through excellent visual standards, using weekly commercial reporting to support decision making.
- Ensure all Visual directive packs are implemented to the correct standard and within set timeframes, feeding back to your Store Manager & Area Visual Merchandiser on how this worked in your store.
- Coach and guide store team through floorplans, fixtures, commercial adjacencies & learning materials, ensuring the floor space is used to its full capacity.
- Be aware of current retail trends and competitor activity, sharing these with your Store Manager & Area Visual Merchandiser
- Lead by example by delivering a joyful customer service experience across all customer interactions.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge.
- Be a great role model for your team, and support the training of your peers in collaboration with the store management team
- Lead the store team with operational needs including delivery, replenishment & stockroom management.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the store and back of house ensuring all VM equipment is well looked after.
