In House Surveyor - Bolton
Davies Group have an exciting opportunity to join our Building Technical Team, where you will deal with all aspects of building insurance claims.
This role is diverse with plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, we provide full training and support!
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Communicating with customers, contractors and insurer clients over the phone, email and in writing
· Assessing the overall validity of claims and creating a schedule of works to put the property back to its original condition
· Updating building repair scopes using our in-house schedule of rates and assessing contractor estimates
· Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders
· Managing panel contractors and controlling repair schedules and costs
· Settling claims under delegating authority
Skills and Experience:
· Proven buildings insurance claims experience OR extensive trade experience OR be a Graduate Building Surveyor
· Great verbal and written communication and organisation skills
· Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
· Positive attitude and be a flexible, self-motivated team player
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess and resolve problems
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
