Import & Export Compliance officer
Do you have experience in Import & Export compliance management within an aerospace industry? Are you passionate about strengthening import and export regulations?
The Role
Doncasters is a leading international manufacturer of specialist superalloys and high precision alloy components made for the most demanding conditions. We are embarking on a new chapter of our history; we need you to help us on our new journey to transform and continue turning metals into motion!
This role has a multisite responsibility, ensuring we comply with all applicable laws, regulations and procedures related to international trade and customs. Your role would involve managing and implementing import and export compliance programmes to mitigate risks, maintain legal compliance and facilitate smooth cross border transactions.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to individuals and managers at all levels around regulatory compliance ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement import- export compliance policies that are consistent with trade regulation.
- Implement and manage processes for screening potential customers, suppliers, partners, and other business entities.
- Conduct training programs and workshops to educate employees involved in import and export activities and raise awareness regarding risks and best practices for maintaining compliance.
- You will monitor changes in import and export regulations ensuring we are up to date with industry best practices and incorporating new technologies and strategies to enhance the teams capabilities.
Interested?
To succeed you will have experience working in an import and export compliance position. You will have a strong understanding of the manufacturing with core product knowledge and an understanding of metals components. The successful candidate will have a passion for strengthening compliance management with the ability to implement import and export compliance programmes. The successful candidate will be confident in their ability to produce internal audits to assess the effectiveness of compliance programmes. You will be an organised individual with the ability to maintain records and keep them updated.
