We have a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, able to communicate complex technical subjects with diverse audiences through a range of media and takes an active interest in the UK’s journey to net zero.
The role forms part of Project ADSorB (Advanced Distributed Storage for Grid Benefit), which focuses on the development and commercialisation of ground-breaking thermal storage and control technologies as part of an industry-academia collaboration.
The Impact Officer is expected to develop, refine, implement, and iteratively enhance the project’s knowledge dissemination activity plan. They will work closely with the Project Manager, as well as the wider consortium partners, to ensure project activities and impact are published and promoted as appropriate. Key activities within this role will include leading on the dissemination plan and project promotional activities, working with the University Media Team and collaboration partners to secure media coverage, co-ordination of the project Industry Advisory Board, and management of social and web presence.
You will be educated to degree level or demonstrate comparable professional standing or equivalent experience and track record. Experience of delivering impactful promotion and marketing of projects and/or innovative technology and experience of web and social media management is essential
