Sales and Design Manager

Location: Remote, ideally located near hampshire (South of the M4 corridor)

Salary: Up to £40,000 + £7,000 car allowance

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

Overview:

Hardman Grey Recruitment is currently seeking a Sales and Design Manager on behalf of our client. Reporting to the Head of Sales and Operations, the ideal candidate will be involved in technical specification sales and commercial business development of processes including:

• Physical water conditioners
• Ultraviolet disinfection systems
• Chlorine dioxide dosing systems
• Water softeners
• Reverse Osmosis system
• Filtration equipment
• Chemical dosing systems

The successful Sales and Design Manager will be responsible for:

• Supporting the sales team and keeping the CRM up to date for their region
• Visiting mechanical contractors, merchants and building consultants to build relationships and sell company products
• Making sales calls for both business to business and business to end user
• Attending and supporting on training needs when required
• Holding scale and bacteria control events with consultants
• Working with contractors to understand their water treatment design needs and reading plant room schematics with support of the technical team in the office
• Ensuring contractors use the companies water treatment products in the design process of new builds and are the company of choice
• Representing the company in a professional manner
• Reaching the company financial targets
• Other duties as required

Ideally the Sales and Design Manager will have

• A background in technical sales in water treatment design or the willingness to learn quickly
• Science based education or training
• A minimum of 4 years of sales experience
• Experience in managing a sales area
• Exceptional client facing skills
• The ability to network with contractors to create a sales funnel
• An energetic, charismatic and enthusiastic personality
• Excellent attention to detail, writing and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £37,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
