Baxter Thetford are seeking Packing Operators to work as part of a shift team of four within our Bottles Department. As a Packing Operator you will be setting up and running a semi-automated packaging line which tests bottles for leaks, applies caps and labels, then shrink wraps plastic pour bottles.
This role works on 12 hour shifts on rotation, including weekday & weekend working. 0600-1800. 1800-0600, a total of 42 hours with paid breaks. You will receive a competitive salary of £26,603.74 once fully trained (£25,279.36 whilst training) and a weekly shift allowance of £109.86 plus other competitive benefits listed below.

Your main role will be to include using a stand on fork truck to load the packing line with cages of filled bottles, carrying out in process checks (IPCs), recording hourly performance, and competing documentation to a high standard.
Experienced Required
Previous experience within production environment ideally from a regulated industry such as Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Food
Able to work in a GMP environment.
Quality focused – able to deal with routine, repetitive tasks whilst maintaining good attention to detail.
Team Working - working as part of a team & sharing workload fairly with a willingness to work co-operatively and supportively in order to solve problems and achieve team targets.
Process Orientated - must follow set standards and ways of working.
Flexible - able to carry out varied tasks often at short notice, adjust break timings around the production, work additional hours and adjust working hours as required by the business.
Experience using fork trucks.
Experience setting up and changing over machines.
Able to understand written and verbal communication and speak, read, and write in English.
