Job description
At IKEA, it is so much more than a job.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an IKEA Food Manager at our Bristol store on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a person with extensive experience leading large teams within a strategic role.
Scheduled closing date: 22 August 2023.
WHAT WE OFFER
WORKING WITH US HAS ITS REWARDS
Our co-workers bring unique ideas and talent to work every day, and we offer a variety of benefits that suit their and their family's everyday needs.
WHO YOU ARE
As someone with experience of leading at a strategic and operational level, you are authentic and self-confident. You will be comfortable in leading a team of up to 80 people, which includes department managers, team leaders, and co-workers.
You will collaborate with other functions, leaders and co-workers across the organisation to secure a successful and exciting store operation for both the local community and all of your co-workers.
This role will be for someone who naturally enjoys working in a fast-paced and future-oriented environment. Your leadership approach will inspire others, leading by example to deliver great customer experience at all touch points.
You will be able to demonstrate that you have exceeded both qualitative and quantitative goals at a comparable level, driving sales and securing business profitability.
You possess demonstrable project, change and stakeholder management skills and know how to apply these with cross-functional collaboration.
You have strong analytical skills, with the ability to take a holistic view of a global organisation and identify opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY
IKEA Food plays a vital role for the IKEA brand and contributes to our vision; it is one of the main drivers for visitation and engagement with the customer’s hearts and minds. The Food function contributes to long-term sustainable growth, profitability, customer experience and brand positioning across all IKEA touchpoints.
You will be accountable for the sales and profitability of the function, the quality of food, food safety, legal compliance, customer experience and the people agenda in-store.
You will act as a commercial business partner within IKEA, and contribute to the creation and implementation of the unit yearly action plan. You will consider the IKEA brand position, strategies, legal compliance and IKEA's 'people and planet positive' agenda within this plan.
Your leadership and coaching skills are central to this role, and will support you in influencing stakeholders and working with other functions and managers, as well as your own team.
WE CARE FOR THE PEOPLE
It takes the diversity of thought, background, and culture to make great ideas a reality. We welcome candidates from all walks of life to join us, where we feel valued for our uniqueness and recognised for our diverse talents.
