Job description
ICT Technician
Required from: Immediate Start
Contract term: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Support Staff Grade 3 (£25,803 to £31,176)
The role:
Our dynamic IT departments have an exciting opportunity to recruit a proactive and hardworking Junior ICT Technician here at Northwood College for Girls.
This newly created role will see the successful applicant playing a key role in the school’s ICT services, supporting the school with the busy schedule of events, projects and support. This post involves monitoring and supporting the school’s ICT systems and its users, assisting with installing new and upgraded systems and ensuring the integrity of the school’s system is maintained.
The successful candidate should have over some experience of delivering customer focused ICT support. A practical outlook with a ‘can do’ attitude is essential. Experience in Windows 10, Active Directory, Group Policy, AV equipment, Apple OS/IOS and Chromebooks would be an advantage. Desire to gain further knowledge is also valued.
The role will help provide support between the core hours of 8am to 5pm on a rota-based schedule, but is essential that the successful candidate has flexibility to provide support for after-school and weekend events/productions.
About the School:
Northwood College for Girls is an independent, academically selective day school for approximately 860 girls aged 3-18. Our curriculum ignites intellectual curiosity and fosters emotional intelligence, building resilience through challenge. An NWC education enables every student to lead a purposeful life and feel successful in their learning.
Both pupils and staff are encouraged to find and develop their passions and talents, through clubs, societies and an extensive programme of CPD. All members of the NWC community are expected to act with compassion and integrity, with respect for others and the environment and an awareness of global responsibility.
Everyone is equally valued in our NWC family and our dynamic young women are proud of their school. Looking after one another and rejoicing in one another’s successes comes second nature to a NWC girl as does her ‘can-do’ attitude and drive.
NWC is at an exhilarating moment in its evolution, with a dynamic and ambitious Senior Leadership Team and new inspiring learning spaces, including a STEM building and Sixth Form Centre. The successful candidate will be similarly ambitious for the school and ready to make an impact in our vibrant learning community.
