Job Title: ICT Reporting Finance Manager

Job Purpose
The Trading Partner Finance Intercompany Tracking (ICT) team is responsible for tracking and eliminating intercompany profit as well as generating statutory information for the consolidated group accounts. The team provide a global service working across Commercial & Manufacturing entity teams, Corporate Finance and Trading Partner Finance.
The ICT system, used to track inter-company profit through the supply chain, has a significant impact on the integrity of GSK Reported results at Group and Company level, with a value of inter-company profit in the region of £18bn.
The ICT Reporting Manager is responsible for delivering complete, accurate and compliant reporting through the monthly ICT reporting process. This includes the responsibility as global custodian of the actuals process, ensuring full compliance with GSK finance policies and Sarbox controls. The role will manage and oversee the work of a reporting analyst and/or BPO outsourced team members.
Key Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU with the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following
- Delivery of the Inter-company Profit reporting process, liaising with Corporate Reporting team to agree the month-end timetable of activities and providing global communications on requirements and timings.
- Ensuring monthly review of the completeness and accuracy of global entity volume submissions escalating as appropriate to ensure 100% of submissions are received
- Ensuring appropriate review and approval of all Inter-Company Profit related BISON journals raised by global entities at month end, ensuring journals are appropriately supported and help desk tickets for ICT resolution are raised.
- Ensuring appropriate review and analysis of ICT Clearing Account at month-end, liaising with global Companies and Corporate Reporting to resolve reporting errors and ensure the final balance is within agreed thresholds.
- Delivering full compliance with the controls framework for ICT reporting and with GSK Finance policy and Sarbox controls including the three Key Controls: POS reconciliation, Control account and Clearing account reconciliations.
- Ensuring appropriate global user training and access provisioning. Identifying functional and process developments to ensure the system operates efficiently, accurately and in accordance with the defined Controls Framework
- Delivery of standard approach & framework to managing the ICT impact of all trade route network changes including acquisitions and divestments – ensuring accurate ICT reporting in group and local entity accounts
- Provide leadership & management/oversight of an ICT reporting analyst and/or outsourced BPO team members (Genpact).
- Work with the ICT GPO team to continuously improve the process & system including resolving any functionality and data issues impacting calculation precision & process result.
- Support the ICT Director with ad-hoc requests in respect of broader business objectives.

Competencies:
Problem Solving & Innovation
Required to quicky analyse & diagnose errors from a huge and complex data set in a short timeframe during the month end close. Data set includes inputs from 100+ Shippers, 17000+ materials, 200+ markets,100+ company codes.- Errors must be prioritised and resolved through clear communication & influencing of the right stakeholders during the month end close and/or later where follow up is required.
- Errors can result from incorrect data, system issues or incorrect accounting.
- Multiple issues must be managed to resolution in parallel.
- Short term solutions must be found for monthly reported results as well as long term solutions through process or system improvements
Interaction
- Regular interaction with global GSK teams and senior stakeholders including Commercial & Manufacturing entity teams, Corporate Reporting. The system has 15000+ user-roles worldwide
- Manages senior stakeholders across the Business and Corporate teams
- Network changes can be highly complex involving multiple stakeholders & functions and are often subject to confidentiality restrictions in early stages.
- Oversight of BPO (Genpact)
Impact
- Ability to quickly reach consensus with key stakeholders on financial reporting for complex items that may be material to the Group accounts (statutory & management)
Multi-Cultural Requirements
Issues may arise in any entity globally requiring the ability to co-operate & align with the relevant stakeholders for that country/market/hub
