A kind and compassionate Social Worker to work within the Intermediate Care Allocation Team for Adult Services at Lancashire County Council.

This is a wonderful chance to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable individuals within the community who require much needed care and support. We seek to promote independence and well-being at every opportunity, giving our service users the strength and courage to lead normal and healthy lives once again. As a Social Worker experienced in working in Intermediate Care settings, you will be reaching out to those in crisis or who are acutely unwell within the community and the hospital itself. You will be providing support within Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Clifton Hospital and other out of area sites.

There is an expectation for you to travel to different locations to provide assessments therefore a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. As this is a 7-day service there will be a requirement for you to work 1 in 4 weekends, we offer pay enhancements for weekend working.

You must be registered (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker or have applied to register with the Social Care Council. For Social Worker/Care Manager positions where non social worker qualifications are accepted, registration is not required, and you will be appointed as a Care Manager.

You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.
