Equans is looking for a Hydrogen Process Engineer to join our team in the UK on a remote, permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
The Hydrogen Process Engineer will act as the technical leader for Equans’ hydrogen activities in the UK. You will lead on the technical aspects of Equans’ growing pipeline of engineering studies, working closely with other engineering functions within the Equans Group. The Hydrogen Process Engineer will support the Head of Hydrogen in securing new business and creating an efficient delivery structure for hydrogen projects. You will embody Equans’ Safety First mantra by ensuring all of our projects are compliant with the relevant standards and regulations.
What will you deliver?
Overall technical lead and project manager for hydrogen projects
Work-package lead for process engineering
Coordinate and manage interfaces between internal and external technical teams
Development and ownership of the overall technical solutions
Technology watch and technical market awareness
Build and maintain a technical library for key equipment (e.g. electrolysers, compressors, storage etc)
Educating and upskilling Equans UK and Equans international colleagues
Support wider industrial energy business with propositions and technical solution development (embedded generation, steam, utilities etc)
Supporting technical business development activities and client conversations
Maintaining awareness of hydrogen safety best practice
Provide specialist input into safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, DSEAR etc.)
Developing our systems/processes/approach for hydrogen and ensuring alignment with wider EQUANS standards and governance
Ensuring our solutions are complaint with relevant standards

Who are we looking for?
University degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (chemical or process engineering preferred)
Professional registration preferred
Experience in a similar role in either a corporate or consulting environment.
Strong understanding of the hydrogen sector preferred
Transferable experience from hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, chemicals, oil & gas or process sectors
Project management experience for engineering studies
Process engineering delivery experience
Process safety experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
