About WMC/Our Department:
We are looking for a HR Officer to join our exciting and well-recognised organisation. Wales Millennium Centre is a home for the arts in Wales, and a cauldron of creativity for the nation working with artists, young people and communities and we would love to make you a part of our team.
We are an HR team, who are focused on improving the employee experience through automation of our processes, creating an inspiring and engaging work environment and introducing best practice Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. We have a packed full People agenda which you could play a key part in.
About the Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an individual with HR administration experience who is looking to move to the next level. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with HR systems and leading on key processes such as recruitment and payroll, to deliver a great experience for our colleagues and candidates.
Reporting to the HR Manager, your responsibilities will include:-
- Leading on key operational processes such as payroll, recruitment, and benefit management, while continually seeking to improve these processes to provide a great employee/ candidate experience. Documenting and communicating key processes and delivering any associated training to embed those new processes.
- Leading on the administration of the HR/Payroll system and recruitment systems, ensuring they are kept up to date and continuously improved to automate processes, and provide valuable information to aid decision-making.
- Supporting the implementation of improvement projects to enhance the service provided to the organisation, such as recruitment and development initiatives to attract new talent to the organisation and implementing colleague engagement initiatives.
- Developing reports to analyse key people information, and support key performance indicators This role will initially be site based until successful completion of your probation period, after which there will be ability to work on a hybrid basis.
Key Requirements:
- Previous Human Resources experience, with a good understanding of key HR processes and the importance of compliance for employment law reasons. The ability to prioritize own workload, with the ability to also work under pressure.
- A high level of attention to detail is required in processing key HR information
- Demonstrable experience of administering HR systems and automating key processes.
- The ability to read and write in Welsh would be an advantage.
- Analytical and problem-solving, with the ability to identify trends whilst offering effective problem-solving solutions.

- Arwain ar weinyddu'r system AD/Cyflogres a systemau recriwtio, gan sicrhau eu bod yn cael eu diweddaru a'u gwella'n barhaus i awtomeiddio prosesau, a darparu gwybodaeth werthfawr i gynorthwyo'r broses o wneud penderfyniadau.
- Cefnogi gweithrediad prosiectau gwella i wella'r gwasanaeth a ddarperir i'r sefydliad, megis mentrau recriwtio a datblygu i ddenu talent newydd i'r sefydliad, a rhoi mentrau ymgysylltu â chydweithwyr ar waith.
