About this Role

We are looking to hire a Human Resource Generalist to run the daily functions of the UK Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, benefits liaison, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

As the UK HR Generalist, you will:

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions while collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Generate official internal documents such as offer letters
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Work with HR team to create global employee engagement plans & initiates activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and has a minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Is organized and attentive to detail.
  • Is excellent with time management and has a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Is strong analytically and has solid problem-solving skills.
  • Has the ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Is knowledgeable of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Is able to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
