Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for an additional experienced HR professional to join the global team in the role of HR Generalist in the UK.

In this role you will have the opportunity plan, develop, implement and promote activities and programs that enhance overall employee engagement, communication and relations while overseeing the compliance of company employment policies and practices with relevant employment regulations. This role will require experience of Mergers and Acquisitions and TUPE process management.

The role will be a majority home working position with time spent at Iron Mountain sites when there is a business requirement.

What you will do:

  • M&A’s execution and support
  • TUPE processes management
  • Support providing required HR content on bids and tenders
  • HR case management at Servicenow providing excellent levels of service
  • Execution of annual CoE cycles as required e.g. merit/bonus; talent (career conversations, 9 box talent calibration, goal setting & goal achievement, employee surveys).
  • Execution of orientation/onboarding activities per Talent CoE strategy.
  • Advising people managers on related processes around promotions, salary administration, out of cycle merit increases
  • People manager training in processes and/or soft skills either directly, or via train the trainer sessions; translation and/or localization of communication materials and their distribution
  • Support and advice to people managers on onboarding
  • Support and advice to people managers on layoffs
  • Align and manage regional and local recognition strategies to global recognition programs
  • End- to- end recruitment for managers & below where no recruitment specialists
  • Provides reports including analysis and insight
  • Partner on employee relations issues
  • Conduct investigations of complaints and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee, review and advise on employee grievance and disciplinary processes
  • Monitor and advise on performance management and review processes
  • Support in the execution of transformation programs providing legal advice

What you will bring:

  • Substantial experience in a similar role with demonstrated required functional knowledge & expertise
  • Experience in HR as Labor Legal Advisor/Specialist
  • High knowledge and experience in UK labor regulation (M&A and TUPE processes)
  • Experience of working in a regional shared services organization a plus
  • Demonstrated experience of, and focus on, proactively managing customer relationships
  • Must possess demonstrated understanding of continuous performance measurement
  • A track record of identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement - keeping it simple
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders in a complex, multi-supplier and matrixed environment
  • Curious; proactively ask questions about wider context in order to understand where to provide most business value; taking our customers to where they ought to be, not where they want to be
  • Exceptional conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced situations that require sound decision making
  • High degree of comfort with change, with the skill to easily shift priorities to meet business needs
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills, able to carry out root cause analysis
