The role:
Reports to the HR Manager and can work flexibly on a hybrid basis. This varied role will provide support across the full employment lifecycle, including:
- Recruitment, ensuring an excellent candidate experience throughout to ensure successful talent attraction and retention
- Providing onboarding support to new staff
- Giving advice and support to staff to ensure that they have a happy and successful employee journey
- Delivering first line advice to managers on all HR policies, procedures and guidelines whilst establishing credible relationships within the Institute
- Accurately processing contractual, compliance and payroll data and information
- Being a CI Equality & Diversity Champion as well as supporting the CI's Wellbeing programme, proactively raising awareness for mental health, and organising and promoting relevant events.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you will:
- Have a genuine passion for people and a strong desire to actively promote diversity & inclusion
- Be an experienced HR administrator from an academic/biological research environment
- Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy in a supportive, professional, and fun HR team.
- Have excellent organisational and communication skills and a desire to deliver an excellent customer orientated approach.
- Have advanced IT skills (Word processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Internet, MS Outlook)
- Be a committed team player who can work flexibly to meet the needs of the team
- Be a solution finder
- Have completed a CIPD Level 3 course
