Human Resources Assistant Band 3
An new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Assistant to join our Employee Relations team on a fixed term basis. We are a friendly, supportive and nurturing team and we are looking for a like-minded person to join us. This is a great opportunity that would suit anyone with an interest in Human Resources and supporting employees, sometimes in challenging circumstances. If you have good administrative and computer skills, along with a friendly and confident approach, we would love to hear from you.
The role will be fixed-term maternity cover for 9 months based full-time at Epsom Gateway, with occasional travel to other sites for meetings. For the right person, there may also be the option of some home based working to suit the needs of the role and the postholder, up to a maximum of 2 days per week.

Main duties of the job
The HR Assistant role is a key role within the employee relations team and central to our success. You will draw upon your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to ensure our processes run smoothly, with respect for individual needs and within agreed timescales.
As the Administrative expert in our team, you will respond to first line enquiries and set up meetings and training sessions. You will ensure arrangements are in place for hearings and appeals, take notes and ensure outcome letters are sent. You will also be responsible for updating templates and ensuring confidential records are easily accessible and secure.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent IT skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and a calm and empathic approach. You will thrive in a busy working environment, where patient care and employee experience are a priority.
If you are interested in developing a wider career in human resources or administration, we can provide coaching and additional learning opportunities. There will also be the opportunity to apply for funded training, such as level 3, 5 or 7 apprenticeships.
