Main Purpose
This is a developmental position that will provide human resources assistance in recruitment and placement to the Civilian Personnel Flight under the direction and support of the higher graded assistant and specialist. Full performance grade is S-0203-07
You will provide human resources assistance to the Civilian Personnel Office. Under guidance you will initiate and provide support to a variety of recruitment and placement program support duties and provide advice to current Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) employees. Provide assistance to applicants, execute the pre-employment process, conduct in-processing for new employees and coordinate effective dates. Compile and generate reports to facilitate monitoring various critical deadlines on behalf of civilian employees.
Use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents. Review reports to identify and correct data errors and ensure database accuracy and currency. Assist higher graded specialists in conducting evaluation of program effectiveness and participate in special recruitment initiatives to promote employment opportunities at job fairs/seminars
informing potential applicants about employment procedures.
Knowledge and Experience Required
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of an extensive body of recruitment and placement rules, procedures, and operations to perform a wide variety of HR interrelated or nonstandard support work assignments.
2. Knowledge of the DCPDS to input, store, retrieve data and perform quality review of data elements desired.
3. Knowledge and experience of automation software functions to support a full range of office operations and production of a variety of documents.
4. Skill in researching, analyzing, interpreting and applying personnel guidelines, policies, rules and regulations.
5. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Other Important Information
1. May be required to use own vehicle to meet tentative employees at the visitor center in order to obtain evidence of identity.
2. Employee must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
3. May be assigned other duties not described in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set
of the incumbent
4. Position may be coded as Mission Essential
5. Hours of duty are 0800-1630 Monday to Friday
