Job description
John Whittingdale MP is looking for a case worker to join his team.
The ideal candidate will be based in the London office. No experience of casework is required but a background in community service and a desire to help local people is vital. Someone who has worked with the CAB or similar organisation would be well suited to this role. Training will be given in how to undertake parliamentary casework.
This is not a political role. It is expected that applicants will be broadly sympathetic to the aims of the Conservative Party but the role is one which is primarily concerned with suporting the local area and people who need assistance with welfare issues.
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
