Position Summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Global Travel Retail team for an Account Manager Europe. Managing a mixture of customers, including key accounts, mostly in the airport channel you will be responsible for achieving the sales targets and KPIs set by the Commercial Manager within your defined account responsibilities, you will manage customers across Europe using our full portfolio of Premium and Ultra-Premium brands.
Job Description
Reporting to the Commercial Manager Europe Middle East Africa & India the role of the Key Account Manager is to:
- Develop quality relationships with defined customers and have a clear understanding of each sector they operate within
- Create joint account plans with customers, negotiate pricing, assortments, campaigns (both physical and digital) as well as visibilities that support our retail excellence initiatives
- Manage individual accounts P&Ls, plan and track vs budget and forecast long term and short-term investment
- Generate well thought out presentations both customer facing and internal to communicate business updates, strategic initiatives, negotiations, new product introductions etc
- Proactively identify new strategic and profitable business opportunities in Travel Retail channels to expand our business and support the development of business cases to exploit these
- Collaborate with our cross functional partners in Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain
- Closely liaising with colleagues around the global travel retail region to align on customer demands that overlaps geographies
- Present fact-based budget (annual) and forecasts throughout the year
- Complete monthly reporting
- Provide shipment forecasts
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have previous Account Management and commercial experience in a fast moving consumer goods/spirits/luxury company. You have a taste for negotiations supported by strong analytical skills and commercial acumen. You have great interpersonal skills with a track record of successful collaborations in a cross-cultural environment. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, a second language is a plus.
