Job description
Reporting to the People and Development Officer, carry out administration work relating to HR, Learning and Development and Volunteering, including Reception Services, ensuring a highly reactive and effective service to staff and volunteers.
1. Be the first point of contact for queries relating to HR, L&D and Volunteering, directing people to the intranet pages when appropriate.
2. Provide cover, as and when needed, in the areas of reception desk.
3. Be responsible for Purchase orders, stationery requests, incoming and outgoing mail.
4. Be responsible for compiling and issuing transactional People and Development paperwork, including but not limited to areas of: Recruitment, onboarding, absence management, flexible working requests, driving licence checks, DBS checks, changes to terms and conditions.
5. Be responsible for keeping the centralised recording system up to date in areas of (but not limited to): Personal details, training undertaken, driving licence details, appraisal dates, absence details, nursing registration, doctor’s insurance details.
6. Be responsible for running monthly reports for staff and line managers as directed.
7. Be responsible for supervising volunteers within the departments, including reception, ensuring time is spent in creating a positive experience for hospice volunteers.
8. Ensure own continuing, personal and professional development, taking ownership and accountability for staying up-to-date.

Salary: £21,375.00-£22,989.00 per year
