Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is looking to employ an ambitious Human Resources Adviser to support a proactive Corporate Services / Group HR team based within this large city centre organisation.

The team provide a professional, high quality HR service to the Corporate Services Division of the Trust, and also have Group HR responsibilities – these are activities/projects that are done on behalf of MFT as a whole, so will give the successful candidate good exposure to the whole HR function.

This post is full time (37.5 hours per week).
We are currently working a blending approach with some days in the office and others working remotely / from home.
To be successful you must be someone who thrives in a high performance, fast paced working environment. You will have proven experience gained in a human resources environment of a large, complex organisation and have an exceptional eye for detail in this highly confidential role.
In particular, you will provide support to managers offering advice regarding terms and conditions of employment and support a range of employee relations case work including: disciplinary, grievance, performance management, dignity at work and sickness absence management. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with Group HR function project work.
Other responsibilities include providing employee relations data to measure the HR directorate’s performance; developing information including guidance notes and FAQs for the e-HR portal to support managers and staff; and delivering HR policy skills workshops for HR colleagues and managers.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong time management and organisational skills. You will be computer literate with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise work on a daily basis. You will be a flexible and enthusiastic team player.
You will have experience of dealing with HR issues across all aspects of employment relations. You will need excellent interpersonal skills as you will be liaising with a wide range of people including HR colleagues, Trade Union representatives, senior managers and staff.
