The Role
The Proposals Manager will be principally responsible for the receipt and analysis of new business opportunities and existing Client scope creep, ensuring these enquiries are accurately converted into formal proposals and presented back to the Client.
Key to the role will be the communication flow between the Proposals Manager and key internal stakeholders to ensure the scope, content and pricing of proposals is of a high and accurate standard.
The post holder will manage a varied and evolving portfolio of assigned proposal requests and issue each in a timely manner, regularly updating the Proposals Team Leader on the current status of each.
Additionally, the post holder may be required to lead or assist with Client visits, both onsite and offsite, with an aim to support the Business Development function in targeting prospective customers.
In the Proposals Manager role, no two days are the same. They can range from conducting meetings with technical teams to understand scope of bids, to supporting bid defence meetings with Clients. The role will also provide the individual with scope to develop within the business and gain a better understanding of the cost models and technical requirements of packaging operations.
This is an important role within the Pharma Services business, and an ideal candidate is one that’s self-motivated, has commercial awareness and is an excellent communicator.
Key Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in a Life Science or Business related discipline, or previous experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Previous experience in one or more of the following disciplines within a development or commercially driven Pharmaceutical CDMO environment; Client/Project Management, Operations, Logistics, Quality (inc. Analytical), Manufacturing and/or Packaging
Desirable Requirements
- Master’s Degree (or equivalent)
- Development and commercial product experience in solid form manufacture
