Bid Management Team Leader

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role

The Bid Management Team Leader will have responsibility for the proposal generation function within Almac Pharma Services, overseeing costing activities for new and existing business opportunities. The role involves the management of a team of Proposal Managers and Coordinators ensuring proposals are submitted to a high standard, on time and in full.

The Bid Management Team Leader will act as the key point of contact for proposal related queries both internally and externally. They will support the Business Development function, managing and developing business relationships with prospective customers via proactive contribution to onsite and off-site customer visits, customer presentations and meetings.

The post holder will assume responsibility for managing key opportunities that require input and agreement with Senior Management, organising and leading meetings to ensure said opportunities are submitted accurately and with agreement from the wider business.

They will also be required to identify and lead improvements to processes, templates or cost sheets identified ensuring successful implementation within the wider business.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a Life Science or Business-related discipline, or previous experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Previous experience in a Client facing or proposal/pricing development role.

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)

  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent)
  • Experience in scoping, costing and writing business proposals.
  • Experience in a supervisory role
