Divisional Director of Operations – 1B

Working alongside the Managing Director for Division 1, you as the Director of Operations for 1B will led and inspire three General Managers across a portfolio which includes; Radiology, Medical Physics, Laboratory Medicine (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Haematology and cellular Pathology), Perfusion, Pharmacy, NEQAS and Community Diagnostic Centres.
As Director of Operations, you ensure standardisation of services across all hospital locations in order for all of our patients to experience high quality care and equity of access. With that, you will lead on all aspects of Clinical Governance, Risk Management and Controls Assurance systems and ensure procedures are embedded into the culture of the Division to ensure effective leadership and management of services.
Within Division 1B, our numbers are substantial, with a team of over 122 Consultants, 514 Scientists and 838 Radiographers along with a wider supporting team of clinical and non clinical staff.
It takes an exceptional leader to engage and inspire staff to ensure that the very best practices are introduced and implemented. You will be an experienced, responsive and transformational leader – with proven strategic, delivery and innovative skills.
You will need to establish key stakeholder relationships across the Trust as well as external to the Trust to ensure service delivery across your portfolio. This will include the Trust Executive Team, all areas of clinical workforce and wider supporting departments such as HR, Finance and IT.
Success within this role will come from your ability to build and maintain relationships with all staff and key stakeholders, using appropriate communication methods to influence and guide colleagues whilst listening to views and ideas.
