Location: Borehamwood, London. Hybrid working available with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Contract: Permanent – 37.5 per week - Monday to Friday (inclusive) with one-hour unpaid break for each day worked.
Salary: £48,000 based on experience
Reporting to: Head of People & Culture (HPC)
The Team: The new position is an essential member of an HR & People team. This dedicated and supportive team includes specialists in HR, Risk & Safety, recruitment, training, and volunteer leader liaison.
Job Brief:
This position has been created to support the Society’s commitment to deliver an excellent experience for all its team members. Therefore, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, leading and delivering wellbeing and benefit programmes.
In addition, they will utilise their HR generalist and employment law knowledge to help ensure the Society’s people-related practices and documentation support its overall aims.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead on the exploration, recommend and implementation of best practice for the reward and recognition of staff,
- Create a calendar of events to support teamwork, knowledge-sharing and wellbeing.
- Support and be actively involved in the launch, delivery and embedding of the Society’s EDI and Sustainability plans.
- Provide generalist HR and legislative expertise and guidance with ER and people matters, including disputes, performance, disciplinary, and/or grievance matters.
Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge:
- Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy.
- Demonstrate transferable knowledge and experience of working in a similar position.
- Led the exploration, creation and launch of other wellbeing and culture programmes.
- Strong HR and employment law knowledge, and actively works to keep their skills up to date.
