A bit about you...
Are you an experienced HR systems professional with a genuine passion for implementing and improving processes and leveraging technology to increase business efficiency? Here at the UK Centre of Ecology and Hydrology, we are seeking an enthusiastic and systems-oriented individual who is keen to begin their deep dive into the world of Workday, or further develop their current technical understanding in a supported environment.
Reporting to the ERP Manager and alongside the People Team, you will be responsible for the management of the Workday HCM suite, (including the HCM & Recruitment modules), to ensure smooth operation, overall integrity and security of the system.

Main Responsibilities
Working within a small team and in close collaboration with the People/HR teams, you will play a pivotal role in reporting as well as contributing to improvements, the strategic agenda and effective service delivery.
- System management – represent HCM in setting and applying the agreed approach
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver solutions for advancing corporate needs of Workday
- Implement system development and improvements across the People function, including reporting, system administration and security
- Monitoring and auditing, ensuring system controls are consistent with policies and segregation of duties maintains a robust control framework.
- Provide Workday support to the People/HR teams, End-User consultation
- Assist with ensuring continuous improvement of system configuration and user uptake
- Management of Feature releases (impact assessment, option selection, testing, BAU)
Here are some of the skills and experience we are looking for:
- Experience of working within an Operational/transactional HR team
- Knowledge and proven ability in management of Workday HCM, Recruiting, Time Tracking, etc. including developing new functionality & security protocols (*highly desirable, not essential)
- People-related data analysis, manipulation, and general reporting
