Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Starting hourly rate: $35.89 - $39.48
This is an in-office position, requires on-site work (5) days per week for the first 100-days

Job Summary: Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
As part of the Human Resources and Administration (HRA) team, the Payroll-HR Specialist will use their experience to help rebrand and evolve CCF’s HR department. The selected individual will take on a variety of roles and responsibilities to help achieve HR goals. The selected individual will be responsible for payroll, recruitment, compliance, training, performance evaluations, and other HR support functions as required. The Payroll-HR Specialist will work closely with the HR Manager (HRM) to develop strategic plans that drive HR initiatives. The Payroll-HR Specialist will work independently and exercise critical thinking skills to ensure payroll, recruitment, and other key HR functions are completed timely and accurately. To succeed, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations.
The successful candidate will partner with the VP of Human Resources and Administration and HRM to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. In addition, they will own programs and processes that run across the broader HR team. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will help teams look around the corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, the overall employee experience.
The successful candidate must be able to process full-cycle payroll within an ADP (Workforce Now) system.
The Payroll-HR Specialist will understand the entire talent system and each stage of the employee lifecycle and will apply that understanding to craft integrated solutions that are thoughtful and reinforced by upstream and downstream talent programs. The Payroll/HR Specialist will also ensure that new hires and supervisors are aware of their early responsibilities (harassment training requirements, 100-day evaluations, etc.).
The Payroll-HR Specialist will ensure all job descriptions are up-to-date and provided to new hires at time of hire. Job descriptions should also be provided when an employee is promoted. All job descriptions should be signed and have the appropriate workers’ compensation code, employment classification, supervisor, and correct position title and/or salary grade.
The Payroll-HR Specialist will create training and development processes and procedures to ensure staff have access to tools and techniques that improve their employee experience and performance. The Payroll/HR Specialist will oversee tuition reimbursement and professional development requests and provide reports on utilization and expenses.
The Payroll-HR Specialist will partner with the HRM to oversee COVID-19 clearance and administration at time of hire and as necessary throughout the year. The Payroll/HR Specialist will keep an active record of all COVID-vaccination status and provide reports as necessary.
The Payroll-HR Specialist will serve as primary backup to the HRM in core areas such as new hire orientation, employment separation, benefits administration, performance management, unemployment online system, HR compliance and leaves of absence administration.
The Payroll-HR Specialist easily connects with people and has a detail-oriented mindset to handle the changing nature of the workforce. The role requires the individual to serve as a liaison between management and staff with an ability to be a subject matter expert in various HR disciplines.
