Centum are seeking to recruit a competent HR Officer to support the HR Manager in the day-to-day activities of the Human Resource department. The successful HR Officer will support line management to cover a wide range of HR issues within the business, including implementing policies and procedures, managing employee relations, overseeing the absence management process and recruitment. The successful candidate will partner with key internal stakeholders to ensure the companies people strategy and business strategy is well aligned.
This role will involve managing employee relations issues, therefore it is essential the successful candidate has to ability to cope with volume employee relations, ensuring line managers have the best support when dealing with complex issues. This will also involve running weekly absence reports, supporting the broader HR team with completion of weekly KPIs, flagging key trends.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for dealing with queries from staff and managers ; assisting with any additional duties to ensure the effective delivery of the HR Service.
Essential Requirements:
- Provide advice and guidance on all HR matters
- Statutory reporting
- Support and guidance to Line Managers and employees in line with HR policies, procedures and appropriate legislation
- Absence Management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR Policies and Procedures
- Conducting investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are being complied and aligned with most recent legislation
- Performance Management
- Collating monthly HR metrics and report on the effectiveness of HR strategies.
Desirable Requirements:
- BSC in Human Resources Management or relevant field
- CIPD Accredited
- Experience working in a Construction Environment
- Have gained at least 2 years within an HR role
- Experience in the use of Time and Attendance systems
- Good conflict resolution experience
- Excellent organisational skills
