The opportunity
In this role and as part of a team of high performing professional experts, you will work in collaboration with the wider HR and OD team to further develop BU through delivery of an efficient high quality, professional and strategic service aligned to BU2025, the University’s values and faculty and service needs. As the primary interface between faculties and services, you will effectively present, analyse and use metrics to identify insight into trends, performance and culture to drive effective change in people management practice. As a source of professional appropriate advice and guidance, you will support our managers in ensuring that we have the right people and teams to deliver our strategy.
In addition, the team have a portfolio of wide-ranging strategic and cross-university projects. You will have opportunity to support and lead project work which contribute to the delivery of our vision and strategy.
About you
You will be a Chartered member of the CIPD and have substantial experience of HR and OD at a senior level within a complex unionised environment. With credibility and excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to successfully influence at all levels. A proven track record encompassing significant complex employee relations issues, organisational design and change and delivery of measurable improvements in service quality are essential, together with a flexible, proactive approach and ability to achieve results through personal initiative.
