HR MANAGER - UK
£75,000 - £85,000
Based – Newport, Wales or Midlands
We have a unique opportunity for an exceptional HR professional to join a forever-changing fast-paced manufacturing organisation. This is very much a standalone role which will involve both business strategies as well as transactional HR duties and project work. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working as a HRBP previously and within a manufacturing environment and be qualified up to Level 7 CIPD. You will also have experience of working within a Unionised environment.
There will be travel around 2 sites one within the Midlands and one based near Newport/Wales.
Duties involved:
· Work closely with senior business leaders to support them in the successful execution of the business strategies, in a way that further cultivates the organisational culture with a focus on diversity, inclusion and a respectful workplace.
· Create the right environment as a champion for HR initiatives, employee advocacy and to partner with Center of Excellence teams in support and guidance of talent recruitment, organisation design, employee development, pay planning, labor relations, talent review and succession planning, as applicable.
· Drive the people strategy and people processes (performance management, leadership and talent development, and succession planning) to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future needs of the business.
· Work with colleagues across the UK HR team to develop and implement country-wide HR processes and policies, that provide a framework for continued business growth and success.
· Provide guidance and counselling regarding legislative, regulatory and compliance issues including company policies, practices and procedures in order to achieve business goals and objectives and consistency across business functions.
· Proactively identify business and HR objectives/expectations; develop, manage or participate in project teams as appropriate to achieve desired results in a timely manner.
Qualifications/experience:
· HR experience in a complex organization within the Manufacturing sector, with diverse cultures and operating environments.
· Ability to influence and lead at all levels of the organisation, with respectful behaviors, business acumen, smart risk taking, emotional intelligence, strong collaboration, and high in stress tolerance
· Experience working with Unions/Collective Bargaining Agreements, leading negotiations and dispute resolutions
· Significant knowledge of HR policies and processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management)
· Sound understanding of compensation and benefits principles
· Exceptional stakeholder management, change management, relationship building and influencing skills
· Previous Project Management and Mergers & Acquisitions experience is a bonus
· Clear understanding of the link between HR and business strategy
· Creative, results-oriented, adept at balancing multiple priorities and issues and can connect the dots and find where seemingly independent activities intersect or have the potential to influence outcomes in other sites or with other employee populations
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
· Degree qualified and relevant HR experience - a minimum of 5 years HRBP experience.

· This role would be ideally suited to someone looking for the next step in their career from HRBP to Manager
