About the role
As the HR Manager you will be credible and trustworthy with excellent stakeholder management skills to gain the confidence of internal and external stakeholders.
Working closely with the Head of HR, you will partner with the organisation on strategic initiatives and provide excellent HR customer service to colleagues and managers across the business. This is an extensive role where you’ll provide guidance over a number of areas, such as employee relations, performance management, recruitment etc.

Key responsibilities include:
- To manage and support managers across the Moorepay and Finance & Corporate Services function and influence key decisions to build a positive employee culture.
- Providing support and guidance for high level employment law matters, grievances, appeals, ensuring minimal risk to the business.
- Promote and advise on HR best practices, ensuring compliance with all employment policies, including employment legislation and employment contracts.
- Provide data and analytics to relevant stakeholders as required, ensuring analysis is made on key trends and suggestions made on ways to improve.
- Deliver people strategy across Moorepay whilst contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
- To collaborate, build and maintain key working relationships within the business, working closely with them to co-develop solutions to meet business needs.
- To be involved and drive specific projects, e.g. organisational development, strategic people plans & initiatives.
- Coach and challenge managers with a view to development management capability, improving employee engagement and maintaining a high-performance culture.
- Establish effective relationships with the wider People Team community, ensuring centrically developed initiatives meet the requirements of the business and function effectively communicated across Moorepay.
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition colleagues in the recruitment and selection of appointments up to mid-management level.
- Capturing changes to employment terms as they arise and ensuring that the People Services Team process them accordingly with appropriate paperwork (e.g. role changes, change of hours, leavers).
Skills and experience
- Highly developed HR advisory and management skills and sound judgment in how to apply those successfully.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices.
- Proven ability to engage, inspire and influence people across the organisation.
- Strong presentation and excel skills.
- Resilient, practical and a self-starter; comfortable with working on own and in teams.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism & integrity, especially in dealing with confidential situations and sensitive data.
- Confidence in working with ambiguity and situations where there could be multiple points of view.
- CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above).
