Tri-County Technical College invites candidates to apply for the role of Human Resources Manager I. The Human Resources Manager will perform a variety of generalist functions, coordinate wellness activities, and serve as the benefits leader, leave administrator, and performance management systems administrator.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION: Function as the college’s benefits administrator and provide management of the enrollment, processing, calculation, and explanation of various insurance and retirement benefits/options. Manage the annual enrollment process. Develop programs (i.e. new hire orientation, monthly meetings, etc.) to share information on retirement plans, insurance policies, and other related benefits. Develop initiatives and material that highlight benefits as a means to attract and retain employees. Lead the RFP process for the employee assistance program and manage the relationship with the EAP provider. 20%
LEAVE ADMINISTRATION: Oversee and administer leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Worker's Compensation, annual leave, sick leave, paid parental leave, etc. Manage the leave administration process from employees’ initial notice of the need for leave to the employee’s return to work. Gather and ensure completion of required paperwork, including medical certifications, determine leave eligibility, designate or deny leaves as appropriate, recertify leaves, and track and account for leave time used. Provide appropriate and required leave information to employees and supervisors. Advise employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, worker’s compensation, and any disability benefits. Maintain complete and accurate records of leaves and related information. 20%
DATA MANAGEMENT: Create and maintain logs, processes, and procedures to ensure that systems are accurate at all times. Process changes for benefit deductions, pay changes, and other requests involving employee time/leave. Must maintain accurate recordkeeping. This position works closely with the Payroll Administrator. 20%
GENERALIST RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and manage the logistics of the EPMS/FPMS systems (performance management systems). Provide employees and managers with training to enhance their understanding of and usage of the performance management system. Work with a cross-functional team to evaluate ways to enhance performance management. Perform duties related to all areas of human resources including but not limited to the following: employment (i.e. recruitment, selection, placement), development (i.e. training/organizational strengthening), compensation, recognition, legal, employee relations, etc. 20%
WELLNESS COORDINATION: Develop the framework for a comprehensive wellness program. Coordinate, plan, and facilitate health and fitness activities and programs for employees. Plan and implement classes, speakers, seminars, etc. that promote healthy lifestyles. Provide educational presentations and training programs. 15%

A bachelor's degree and experience in human resources management programs.
