What you will enjoy doing
- As HR Manager, you will be accountable for end-to-end people support of two Manufacturing/Engineering sites in the UK, as well as corporate employees also located in the UK and a small business based in Kent
- Leading a small HR team, you will manage all human resources functions, developing the strategic people plan for the current and future years. Day to day the role will lead; talent acquisition & development, employee relations, compensation, training, DE&I, pensions, benefits and general employee services
- This role reports to the European HR Director based in Italy. Additionally, on the business side the role dotted line reports to the Operations Director for the Northern Europe Business and will service the strategic imperatives for UK as identified by them
- You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and policies to support and achieve the UK business objectives, whilst providing direction and advice to the management team on all people related activity
- You will be responsible for developing annual budgets for department and broader organisation activities and monitor for variances
- You will ensure positive employee relations and effective communications by actively understanding employee needs, anticipating issues and resolving problems. Routinely auditing workplace conditions and employee attitudes, including facilitating pulse survey action plans
- You will drive diversity, equity and inclusion through regular initiatives and sponsorship to a cross functional team of ambassadors
- Becoming a Pension Trustee for the company's defined benefit scheme is also within your remit.
What makes you great
- You will be accessible to one of our UK sites in either Swindon or Lincoln
- You are degree educated and/or ideally at CIPD level 7 qualified or equivalent
- You will have a broad HR background and are able to deliver service excellence, internally and externally.
- You will be able to support each function within the business and its management, in accordance with the full understanding of the broader end goals
- The ideal candidate is likely to be operating in a senior HR role within a multisite service focused manufacturing business, with a minimum turnover of £20 million
