A new opportunity has become available within the HR team as HR Manager. Reporting to the HR Director you will support the various business unit management teams develop and create productive, committed, innovative and collaborative teams that support and enhance a positive work culture.
This is a full-time permanent role with 1 direct line report. You will partner with the various department managers and directors providing advice, support and coaching on different areas of HR. This role presents a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast paced, varied workload. Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Responsibilities:
- · Onboarding Excellence- Ensure seamless transitions for new hires, setting the stage for a successful journey within the organization.
- · Manager Induction/Training- Equip managers with the essential HR business induction information, empowering them to lead effectively.
- · Employee Relations Expertise - Provide guidance on employee relations matters, offering support in disputes and overseeing ER cases with a commitment to fairness and compliance.
- · Exceptional Communication and Relations- Foster positive relations with internal stakeholders and external partners, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries.
- · Performance Management knowledge -Offer guidance on employee performance issues and probationary extensions, contributing to a high-performing culture.
- · Training and Development Champion - Play a pivotal role in our NextGen Programme and Social Responsibility Committee, coordinating training and development programs to enhance employee growth.
- · Oversee Compliance - Ensure strict adherence to labour laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to employment.
- · HR Policies and Procedures - Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook to foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
- · Employee Engagement Competence - Drive initiatives that boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, including the oversight of our D&I calendar and panel.
- · Data-Driven Insights - Contribute to the establishment of HR metrics, generate insightful reports, and provide strategic insights to senior management.
- · Progressive Culture ownership - Collaborate with all staff members to uphold and nurture our positive and forward-thinking work culture.
- · Ad Hoc Projects - Undertake special projects as assigned, bringing creativity and expertise to the table.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide line management for the junior HR Officer, fostering growth and development.
- Conduct weekly team meetings to promote collaboration and synergy.
- Monitor the HR Corporate inbox to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Experience:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Resilient and calm when dealing with sensitive situations
- Good coaching skills with the confidence to consult, support and challenge managers
- Effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Thorough understanding of HR processes and best practices.
- Confident in building strong department partnerships
- Team player with the capacity to lead and manage direct report.
- Curious and creative problem-solver
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms.
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business and departments
- Good knowledge of employment law with an exposure to ER caseload of employment law and statutory processes.
- CIPD qualified or similar qualification/training
- Good with MS Office, an expertise in Excel and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and diplomacy.
- Previous experience in a professional services environment.
