Are you an experienced HR Manager looking for an exciting challenge? Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity to join their team on a fixed-term contract, covering a maternity leave period. This role is a 4 day working week! Working 3 days onsite and 1 day remotely. As the stand alone HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering people practices and strategies, working closely with business leaders to provide guidance and leadership on various people issues.
As a generalist HR Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering an inclusive workplace, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for all employees. You will work hand in hand with the leadership team, offering support in end-to-end recruitment processes for new roles and managing the seamless onboarding of new team members. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records in the HR systems, handling contract variations, and overseeing the management of the Director database.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with leadership to manage the HR function and promote an inclusive workplace.
- Provide support to line managers throughout the entire recruitment process for new positions.
- Oversee the onboarding process for all new team members, ensuring a smooth integration into the organisation.
- Manage employment contracts for new starters and keep HR systems updated with relevant information.
- Chair the Inclusion Committee and drive initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusivity.
- Conduct exit interviews for departing team members, providing valuable feedback to leadership.
- Prepare monthly payroll items related to new starters, leavers, and salary changes.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date information in the HR systems through continuous updates.
- Effectively handle Employee Relations (ER) issues, offering conflict resolution advice to leadership and minimising business risks.
- Assist in maintaining a smoothly running Front Desk Runner/Coordinator team, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Handle work experience/intern requests with the HR team.
- Ensure compliance with office Health and Safety requirements, such as annual fire safety inspections and sufficient First Aiders and Fire Marshalls.
- Support the annual staff review process and gather feedback as necessary.
- Manage the annual renewal of the Certificate of Sponsorship.
- Implement and update company policies and procedures as needed.
- Provide general reporting as required.
- Undertake additional duties broadly aligned with the responsibilities listed above.
Key Skills/Experience:
- CIPD qualified or part qualified.
- Proven experience in a stand-alone HR role.
- Demonstrated flexibility and pragmatic approach.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels, with a talent for building strong relationships.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and effectively manage ER issues.
- High integrity and commitment to fostering a 'people-first' culture.
