Where you come in:
Beatport is seeking a full-time People & Culture Manager in London (Hybrid 3 days in our Farringdon office, 2 days remote). This is a central role within The Beatport Group with dual remits across HR management and Office management.
Responsibilities: Human Resources Management
- Work with the VP, People & Culture and Finance team to launch and optimize HR systems and processes across the company. Including compensation analysis and structure.
- Oversee and implement while keeping up to date with compliance and regulation changes in employment law
- Manage employee relations and conflict resolution based on best practices
- Manage day-to-day HR needs in the UK and Europe, including processing employment agreements, onboarding, monthly payroll, managing systems and responding to employee requests/questions that may arise
- Assist in communication with employees regarding critical company-wide conversations and HR-specific topics
- Manage the regional processes and policy application through the whole work-life cycle, including separations and exits.
- Contribute to the continued development of Beatport’s creative and unique people operations strategy as well as Beatport’s community involvement and diversity, equity & inclusion efforts.
Responsibilities: Office Support
- Take a lead role in managing Beatport’s new Farringdon offices
- Attend reception and welcome visitors during Beatport’s work day; this role will require office attendance 3 days per week.
- Assist in managing office operations and supplies
- Support activities supporting internal culture, industry involvement, etc., for Beatport’s UK team (~50 UK employees across offices in London and Brighton and remote workers). Assist in the planning and execution of internal office events such as happy hours, meals and team-building activities.
- Work with operations and the building team for any issues or needs in the office.
As People and Culture Manager you will require:
- 2+ years of HR experience in a similar role.
- CIPD Membership, working towards or having CIPD Level 2 qualification at the very minimum.
- Proven experience in successful operational HR delivery and management.
- Proven experience in managing employee relations cases.
- A methodical and organized approach to prioritization on conflicting and evolving tasks with an outstanding attention to detail.
- The ability to build trusting and effective relationships, work with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK Employment Law and best practice
- Confident working with senior Executives and external partners
- Exceptional communication skills
Bonus points for:
- It would be great if you have an interest in DJ / electronic dance music culture but not essential
- Experience in the global technology / corporate sector would also be an advantage
