Job description
We are seeking a highly qualified Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for the engagement, retention, and professional development in a 20+ employee organization. Provide general guidance, direction, advice and regulatory requirements in all areas of Human Resources. The position reports to the CEO and is part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:
- Act as business partner by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resources issues.
- Works with Senior Leadership preparing for State, Federal, Local City, Broward County and private funding audits and funder site visits.
- Administers and interprets procedures; provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors based on sound administrative and personnel practices, policy, and ensures compliance with laws and regulations.
- Work with department heads to identify top performers and develop a formal succession planning and employee development training programs.
- In partnership with the PEO, prepares payroll on a bi-weekly basis, submitting reports to leadership for approval. Processes payroll through PEO timeclock and payroll system.
- Creates New Employee Onboarding Agendas and orientation ensuring all state funder mandatory trainings are completed, shadow training with all employees to understand business model.
- Organizes employee events to engage employees, improve morale and drive culture.
- Consults with Senior Leadership Team to create or amend Human Resources policies and procedures, as needed.
- Responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Act as employee-management liaison, to facilitate communication between parties.
- In partnership with the Senior Leadership Team administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Provide general guidance, direction, advice and regulatory requirements in all areas of performance related issues; creates and maintains performance improvement plans (PIP), disciplinary conversations, including plans for separation.
- Supervises front office operations/receptionist.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of directly related demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with employee labor relations.
- Proficient with HR software.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish); (English and Creole), preferred.
- Bachelor of Art in Business Administration- HR Management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
