About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join our supportive and friendly HR Business Partnering team here at Nottingham Trent University.
No two days will be the same in this role as you provide a pro-active and specialist service to line managers in our professional services departments, on a range of complex people management issues as well as undertaking projects.
Using your excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships, you will coach and guide managers on a range of matters including conduct and capability, grievance, attendance management, performance management, staff retention and redeployment.
With previous generalist HR experience including managing a range of operational casework, you will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of employment legislation, contractual law and logical thinking and be able to translate this into pragmatic and business-focussed solutions.
In this role you will also be a valuable source of advice and support to managers, partnering with them on key activities such as organisational change, job design, and the development of our people plans.
