What you will be doing...
HR Advisor – Overseas, based at Holiday House, Leeds City Centre.
Due to business-wide growth, we have significantly invested in our HR department and so we have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a HR Advisor supporting our Overseas function.
As our HR Advisor - Overseas you will provide generalist HR advice, support and guidance to Managers in their designated overseas business areas of Jet2holidays and provide ongoing support to the Overseas HR Business Partner in their role.
What will you do in the role?
Our HR Advisor – Overseas will be the first point of contact for general HR queries from all Jet2holidays colleagues. You will be responsible for updating and maintaining ER Case Management information and reporting, ensuring accurate and up-to-date recording across UK & Overseas. You will also: -
Develop and build relationships with key stakeholders both within the designated area and cross-functionally to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged with the HR team- Identify where HR issues/queries need to be escalated and refer them to the appropriate level of HR Management to ensure the relevant action is taken
- Coach business areas to reach conclusions/decision making
- Advise on ER issues ensuring they are managed and resolved at the appropriate level
- Monitor, analyse and report on key HR Data/KPIs such as turnover of staff, sickness absence etc, identifying from the data key trends and working with the Overseas HR Business Partner to identify and address any underlying issues
- Create, develop, and update internal HR policies and procedures (How to Manage guides) on key HR processes as and when required to ensure consistency and efficiency of service within the HR Team
- Be responsible for delivering on HR projects and making sure they support the growth of the business.
What are the key skills/experience you’ll already have?
In this role, communication, & the willingness to learn Overseas legislation is key. We're looking for a confident self-starter who can influence & challenge where appropriate. You will have a proven track record of HR generalist experience working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll have up-to-date knowledge of UK & Overseas employment law. You will also: -
- Be experienced at successfully managing and prioritising high volume initial case queries
- An effective team player able to work independently and to tight timescales
- Be able to work under pressure and have a high degree of resilience
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work cross-functionally across multiple areas of HR
- Have the ability to speak Spanish would be advantageous

The role will include occasional travel across the UK & Overseas.
