Responsibilities
- Understand core business objectives and how HR goals link to business priorities.
- Daily point of contact for employees and people managers related to HR policies, procedures and programs.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues, conducts investigations and handles employee relations counseling with related employee population.
- Coordinates the recruiting and staffing initiatives required for the facility, including background checks and pre-employment drug testing in conjunction with the Manager, Talent Acquisition and corporate processes.
- Coordinates new employee orientation/onboarding activities, employee development and training, and associated recordkeeping.
- Coordinates documentation and communication of Worker’s Compensation-related issues with the Director, EHS as well as with state agencies and/or insurance representatives as required or requested.
- Participate in Safety initiatives throughout the plant with leadership.
- Flexible for 24/7 shift meetings for employee engagement and communication meetings.
- Prepare presentations for internal communications. (ie, monthly birthdays and work anniversary for bulletin boards)
