Nature of Work
Assists the Human Resources department through a variety of administrative tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain HR intranet documents and policies.
- Tracks status of employee onboarding by continuously updating systems, following up with new hires and employees, and providing status updates to key people.
- Assists with college career fair registration and related event planning, and updates employer branding and job descriptions in campus job posting systems.
- Support reporting and routine communication for total rewards programs (benefits, 401k, FSA, HSA, etc..)
- Support FMLA, Parental Leave, and Disability processing.
- Assist with Social Media recruiting efforts.
- Assist with wellness event coordination, tracking, and communications.
- Responds to routine inquiries about benefits, onboarding, or other HR inquiries.
- Assist with coding and billing audits.
- Performs routine HRIS system updates/changes.
- Job description management in ATS.
- Candidate sourcing and project building in LinkedIn.
- May provide human resources support in other areas and/or special projects as assigned.
- Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong technical aptitude to learn software systems
- Excellent Customer Service skills and team player attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Ability to work onsite and maintain regular and prompt attendance.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or other related field is preferred, but not required. Experience in related work will be considered in lieu of the education preference.
Experience
- At least one year of prior administrative experience in Human Resources, Marketing, or Business environment required. Intern experience considered. Experience supporting multiple functions or departments is desirable.
Physical Demands
- Physical demands for this position are light. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending, or carrying of items (10-25 pounds) such as papers, books, equipment, etc.
Work Environment
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, residences, commercial vehicles, or outdoors, i.e.: use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc.
