Law Firm Accounting/Billing Clerk Job Ad:
We are looking for a versatile and energetic accounting/billing clerk to join our busy and growing law firm in downtown Calgary. This position is focused on providing support and assistance to the management team to ensure deadlines are met for the completion of all accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Processing of cash receipts/payments
- Processing time-sensitive trust transactions (deposits and payments) as directed
- Printing cheques upon request and obtaining signatures
- Preparing daily bank deposits and attending to bank
- Assisting with billings/invoice preparation including providing pre-bills and invoices to lawyers for approval, finalizing and sending to clients.
- Monitoring Accounts Receivable and sending statements/reminders to clients for unpaid accounts as well as sending weekly accounts receivable reports to each responsible lawyer and partners
- Posting all incoming vendor invoices (accounts payable) to applicable GL accounts or to proper client matters as disbursements
- Reconciling monthly vendor account statements and credit card statements
- Saving all invoices/receipts electronically as well as paper vendor/accounting files organized
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certificate or Diploma in an accounting related field of study is preferred
- Good foundation of basic accounting principles
- Prior experience in a legal office setting considered an asset.
- Detail oriented
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal with the ability to collaborate and build relationships
- Must be available to work full-time from our office located in downtown Calgary (this is not a remote or hybrid position).

Salary: $42,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
