The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day personnel processing activities and providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator functions as a part of the Human Resources Department team to provide impressive customer service including timely, accurate and efficient care and information for CommuniCare employees and all other customers. CommuniCare Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing comprehensive patient-centered primary care services including medical, dental, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health and outreach services to low income, multi-ethnic, uninsured and underinsured populations.
SCHEDULE: Full time position. 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Office location currently Davis but work will also be performed in Fairfield office and position will likely relocate to Fairfield after October 1. Occasional travel between sites in Yolo, Solano, and Napa counties will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform daily data entry in HRIS/Payroll system, including new employee entries, personnel and payroll changes.
- Add new employee information to BenefitsCONNECT, Principal, DMV pull notice program and Quest (when applicable).
- Create new employee personnel files.
- Ensure pre-hire document completion, background screenings, reference checks, and all other requirements
- Serve as primary person with responsibility for new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary forms are completed and processed.
- Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS information as needed.
- Respond to and complete requests for employment verifications.
- Assist with reconciliation of payroll deductions and benefit plan enrollment changes and terminations.
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing, typing and mailing.
- Maintain personnel files including regular and consistent filing of confidential personnel documents.
- Provide regular back-up reception duties for front desk.
- Assist with New Employee Orientation preparation including copying, materials preparation and set-up.
- Deliver paychecks or other documents to various company locations as needed.
- Assist Payroll department in reconciliation between payroll deductions and HRIS entries.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned Human Resources management, Human Resources Generalist or other department teammates.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with some training in human resource preferred OR equivalent education plus experience. Minimum two years of office/administrative experience required, preferably working in a human resources department. Experience working in a health care organization is highly desired.
Special Skills/Equipment: Must demonstrate intermediate computer literacy at a minimum; specifically, Microsoft Office applications competency (such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher) is required.
Expectations: Consistently excellent customer services skills required. Self starter who can work independently with little supervision. Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team. Ability to problem solve and handle issues with minimum supervision. Must have a commitment to excellence and high standards. Must have satisfactory written and strong oral communication skills, plus strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Must have the commitment and the ability to serve and deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and with external customers. Must have ability to manage priorities and workflow. Required to have versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and have acute attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through. Strong positive interpersonal skills and the ability to understand and follow written/verbal instructions required. COVID-19 BIVALENT VACCINATION OR BOOSTER REQUIRED.

Ability to operate office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, computer equipment. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, with occasional walking. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach with hands and arms, and to lift 25 lbs. Hearing and close vision abilities required. Work is performed in a typical office environment with moderate equipment noise. Travel to all agency sites required.
PAY RATE:
- The pay range for this position is $20.30/hr.-$28.20/hr. Starting pay within this range will vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
