The HR Associate will be reporting directly to our COO & General Counsel. They will take leadership for the setting-up and scaling of our entire HR function. This role would be ideally based in London, but other locations can also be considered.
Tasks
Responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the HR strategy, serving as the primary point of contact for employees and the Board for all employee relations issues across the world (Europe, North and Latin America, Asia and Africa)
- Managing and supporting all HR functions across the company including, contracts, sickness, payroll, benefits, organisational growth, talent development, annual compensation reviews (incl. transfers, promotions etc.), improvement activities, personal development planning and succession planning
- Designing and implementing the onboarding process for new hires
- Designing and implementing our performance management cycle
- Managing and improving recruitment activities for global vacancies, including drafting job descriptions and posting vacancies to relevant channels, standardising company interview processes, scheduling and participating in interviews, advising on offers and contracting, conducting background and right to work checks where necessary.
- Regularly review of processes and policies
- Managing the relationship with our global employment outsourcing companies
- Building and strengthening inclusive leadership and culture within the company
What do we expect from you?
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will be a mid to senior level HR professional with the ability to drive & deliver new processes and change.
You will have excellent influencing skills, a solution focused approach and be adept at working for a company going through growth. We are an early-stage company, so you need to be willing and able to hit the ground running and make your mark. Experience in a start-up would be ideal, but not essential. The ideal person will be excited to get their hands dirty, working broadly, and will thrive on building out our HR function and shaping the role as their own. You may already be in a similar role, or you may be ready to step-up and make an impact!
- A love of nature; a strong affinity with conservation and restoration of natural systems
- 3-5 years of experience in HR
- CIPD qualified (preferred)
- Proven results in HR operations, including designing and implementing new processes, recruitment and career development systems
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills and must be detail orientated
- Experience of and willingness to work with remote global teams in an effective manner
- Experience of managing compensation, benefits and payroll issues
- Excellent awareness of employment policies and regulations
- Self-driven with a willingness to take initiative
- Committed to continuous improvement and consistent high-performance within a complex and fast-growing sector
