What you’ll be doing
As an HR Assistant, you will focus on ensuring staff have a great experience by providing first-class customer service. You’ll be a whizz at using our HR system, calculating pay and holidays, and will be responsible for answering queries at the first call. You will be working with HR Officers and an HR Manager who will support you to make sure managers have the information and resources to be great at managing their people.
What we need from you
Good knowledge and experience with databases and systems.- Be confident in your maths skills to be able to calculate annual leave and payroll accurately.
- A real desire to progress within HR. Although it’s beneficial to have an HR qualification, it’s more important that you are passionate about providing a first-class service.
- A keen eye for detail, and the ability to identify initiatives that will drive the people experience.
- Good time management and organisational skills relating to the overall number of queries answered, while prioritising tasks in accordance with the payroll deadline.
- Able to build a natural rapport with people of all different backgrounds and abilities.
- Enthusiasm, confidence and pride in your work.
What we will offer you in return
A permanent, full-time contract with an annual salary of £22,777 in accordance with NJC pay point 8.- You’ll be based in our Manchester office, but will usually work from home.
- 25 days holiday, and 30 once you've been here five years, plus your birthday off.
