Who we're looking for
We're looking for a dynamic HR Assistant who is aspiring to grow a career in the HR operations space to join our London based HR team. The candidate will be joining us at a very exciting time as we move our HR systems onto a new platform and will create amazing opportunities for us to innovate the way we manage HR operations going forward.
In this role you will provide an effective, efficient, accurate and professional HR service covering full administrative, operational and project management support to the HR Business Partnering Team. You will also be responsible for managing human resources information including electronic based record keeping, reporting and system transactions. You will help to provide quality HR services to the business ensuring that high standards are adopted and executed across all elements of HR.
You would have had at least 2 years of experience in a HR administrative or operations role with a view to grow your career in this area.

The team
The Human Resources team is responsible for ensuring that Schroders maximises the return on its investment in people. We do this through the development and implementation of policies and practices that attract, reward and retain high quality employees.
What you'll do
- Managing the employee life cycle including processing of new joiners, leavers and transfers, managing leave records, letters production etc.
- Maintenance of employee data by understanding and using the Oracle HR system
- Administer the entire employee life cycle process including joiner, transfer and leaver process
- Take responsibility of the new joiner onboarding and first day induction processes.
- Manage employee and line manager queries as the first point of contact Provide administrative support relating to the performance management system and Options benefits renewal when required.
- Provide back up administrative support for regulatory regimes like SMCR
- Liaise with the payroll team to process salary adjustments and other employee life cycle events on a monthly basis
- Provide support in answering Learning and Development queries
- Provide support and guidance for absence recording.
- Support year end compensation processes
- Process invoices in a timely manner.
- Maintain and develop the HR process manuals for improved and accurate usage.
- Undertake in HR projects as and when required
- Provide coverage for the other HR Assistants as required
- Manage and ensure the data integrity of records in the HR system
- Provide support for standard and ad hoc reports.
- Maintain the electronic employee filing system.
- Provide note taking support in investigations for disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of human resource policies and procedures.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Strong proficiency in suite of MS Office applications like Word, Excel
- Attention to details and an acute understanding of the importance of data accuracy
- Able to multitask and prioritise workload
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
- Understanding of operational processes within a large organisation will be ideal
- Strong team player with a focus on delivering results both on team and individual level
- Part CIPD qualified or a desire to study
- Knowledge of Oracle HRMS is desirable
