NHS Professionals is looking for a HR Assistant to join their busy bank member human resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to build and progress their career in HR within a busy team environment.
We offer a balanced approach to office and home working. During the first few weeks you will be required to come into the office everyday / most days whilst you are being trained but then you would move into a hybrid model so you have some time at home but also office time built in to ensure you get some face to face collaborative team time - and a chance for a coffee (or tea) and a catch up!
Role summary:
As a member of the Bank Member Employee Services (ES) Team, you will support internal and external customers and the HR Team in providing advice and guidance on standard HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment plus other ad hoc, general HR queries. A lot of the queries relate to maternity, paternity and adoption policies, along with general employment related questions and information requests from our bank members.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to give informed advice and able to negotiate with key stakeholders using tact and discretion, leaving customers satisfied with the outcome whilst maintaining NHSP’s HR policies.
We are looking to employ a HR Assistant who has experience within HR or a similar environment. You will have outstanding administrative and communication skills and:
- Excellent Accuracy/ attention to detail
- a positive approach; proactive and innovative; with a vision of continuously adding value
- a "can do- will do" attitude
- Self motivated, highly resilient and tenacious
- As HR Assistant you will be expected to have superb organisational and time management skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow guidance with the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Have demonstrable experience of working in a HR/ similar role
- Be a team player
- Be preferably CIPD Level 3 / 5 OR equivalent experience
