1. Role Title:
1.1. HR & Administration Manager
2. Reports To:

3. Introduction
3.1. The College looks to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised individual in a management role to the HR department. This role includes Campus front of house duties.
This role would best suit a senior level candidate looking to manage and coordinate HR administration;
3.2. To be successful in this role, the applicant must be able to work as part of a small team, whilst independently and proactively completing tasks. Excellent organisation, communication and IT skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential requirements.
The nature of this role requires a tactful and confidential approach.
4. Main Function:
4.1. Managing staff recruitment processes, including handling of the application and shortlisting process, liaising with candidates and scheduling interviews, preparing offers and contracts of employment, referencing and collecting required documentation at offer stage;
4.2. Supporting and coordinating the onboarding process for new starters, including scheduling of inductions;
4.3. Maintaining an accurate and efficient HR database with employee information and necessary documentation, including administering new starters, changes and leavers on the system;
4.4. Dealing with day-to-day HR queries and advice in line with the current policies and procedures;
4.5. Producing informative reports using the HR platform;
4.6. Supporting role in the accurate processing of payroll and benefits;
4.7. Coordinating and assisting with periodic processes, including auditing accuracy of information, collation of completed appraisal documentation, auditing training logs, etc.; 4.8.
Scheduling of periodic staff reviews across all departments, including probationary period reviews;
4.9. Support College-wide staff training initiatives, with the creation of training packs, agendas, event facilities etc.;
4.10. Be a helpful point of contact to senior officials visiting from the partner institution, providing support in the creation of a visitor’s schedule (including coordination with internal stakeholders), meeting room bookings, taxi bookings, arranging security passes, lunch arrangements, etc.;
4.11. Other ad hoc duties as required by the Registry department, including participation in project work;
4.12. Undertake any additional tasks assigned by HoQA, Principal or Board of Directors.
5. Other Duties:
5.1. Undertake other duties as assigned by management and commensurate with the level of this post.
5.2. Foster a positive work environment with a good team spirit including the wider support teams, with student and staff experience at the forefront of all efforts.
6. Job Type
6.1. Full-time;
6.2. Salary: from Grade F;
6.3. Based on campus at Barclay Hall and/or Avicenna House;
7. Essential Requirements:
7.1. Education to degree level or equivalent;
7.2. Proven ability to provide career counselling to students, helping them plan a career path and find employment;
7.3. Has or is currently working towards a CIPD qualification of level 3 or above:
8. Required Experience:
8.1. Minimum of two years’ experience in HR and/or administrative roles in a Higher Educational
Institute environment or related area in the UK;
8.2. Some experience in a Career Advisor or Consultancy role is beneficial;
